Sara + Kilali in Meditation
Today was a really fun day for the J term. We start off the day by doing the 52 list book. It was a really good time for everybody to get a chance to reflect. Then we moved on to some mindful movement. Today was a very different day than our usual routine. It was much more active than usual. We did more Vinyasa style yoga today which was a lot more active than vigorous. The new routine seems to be more challenging for many people but also rewarding when you are able to do the complicated poses. After we all relaxed with a savasana it was time for the first people to give their presentations. Jayla's, Sara's, Henry's, and Evan's presentations and Were all amazing and super well planned out. We all really enjoyed doing their mindful movements. The entire class really enjoyed listening to their talks and meditations. After we came back from lunch everyone started working on their final sand Mandalas. Though most people just got on their outline it was so cool to see how intricate and beautiful everybody's plans were. I can't wait to see what they look like once they have all the colored sand filling them up.

Some people also made bracelets while they were waiting for their turn to work on the projects. After that was over Dr. Reese led us to a new type of meditation. called walking meditation which was super unique!

After the medication was over everybody shared their experience and a lot of people said that the new type of meditation really helped them get in the zone more than usual. However, some people found it a little bit difficult and Dr. Reese shared that she also had some trouble getting used to it when she tried it the first time. End of the day with a really relaxing savasana. Overall it was such a great day and everybody had such an amazing time trying all the new practices today.
